SpaceMy finding you was almost like
Gazing through a vast telescope
At unfolding patterns of the sky:
Not with any purpose, but hope
That something of rarest beauty
Would perhaps show itself to me.
And there you were: a blinding flash
Of some indescribable light,
Streaking through the darkness
Of my ebony night:
An uncharted, unseen comet
To be discovered by others yet.
If only I had a ready pen
I could have drawn a chart:
To find you whenever I liked,
In the galaxy of my heart.
